Dr. Seuss once said "You find magic wherever you look. Sit back and relax, all you need is a book." I believe in the magic that books bring into a classroom! Not only are books engaging for students, but they are proven to improve language and communication skills, activate imagination, and give students an escape from "the real world." I want to give my students the opportunity to create a lifelong love of reading, and to gain confidence in their own reading abilities. By having an inviting, organized classroom library, students will want to dive into a good book and ignite their love for reading. This project funds the purchase of book bins for our classroom library, so students can search for their book of choice by genre. In addition to keeping the classroom library clean, having these organizational bins teaches my students responsibility and doing their part to keep our classroom running smoothly. With your donations, I will also be able to have more seating options in our classroom library, so more students can enjoy books in our classroom library at one time.
