I am looking to inspire a future generation of scientists. Teaching 6th grade I have a unique opportunity to help create a long lasting love for science by providing them with lessons that create a sense of wonder and make them want to learn more. To truly inspire students to engage fully in the process of science it is essential that they are given every opportunity to explore. Teaching students about the miracles of the human body through pictures is adequate, however, it does not truly inspire their wonder and curiosity. Incorporating a life size skeleton into my classroom will not only enhance their engagement with the subject matter, it will also provide students with a more thorough understanding of how the human body works.
