In this class, students are taught the basics of preparing food, cooking it, working the stove/oven and then eating what they have prepared. We often eat on paper plates and do not have enough silverware for everyone. The items in this project are to stock the classroom with a complete set of dinnerware for each "kitchen" area (there are 5 in the classroom). I think the students will take more pride in their work if we can eat on actual dinner plates. I have also included forks and knives and new sets of cutting boards which are used often to prepare food items.
