These materials donated to our class will bring so much joy to my students. They will bring joy because my students need to feel welcomed and appreciated at school.
Students will use the materials such as the globes and posters to help them understand where they are in the world and with group projects I've created where they would find the latitude and longitude of where their state is using the globe. I requested the drawing books and other small items as rewards to give to my students when they have classroom jobs and to use them as rewards when they are coming to school everyday and when they reach goals they set for themselves. I requested the comfy seating chair because some students like to sit and read a book in the library and they would enjoy the seat there. The bulletin board would be used as a class information board, where students get classroom information if they were absent or what is going on for the day.
Our school is located in the heart of or the city in Milwaukee's worst urban area, and funds are not always equally allocated to our school. We need these materials to help our students learn about the world around them and connect their studies to their everyday lives. Your generosity will go along way and our students will remember it forever.
