The materials that I chose will help my students increase their fine motor skills in order for them to learn how to complete tasks independently. Starting from a young age, my students are taught how to complete independent tasks so they can learn and prepare for the future of being able to do a simple job so they can be productive and be a part of society. The activities that I chose will also help my students self- occupy themselves in a functional manner. Many of my students do not know how to keep themselves busy with functional activities. These materials will give them opportunities to reach for something that is functional.
