These materials are all for making my classroom more welcoming and inclusive for my students. I feel we have made a great community in my classroom but lack the space to share and collaborate. The large rug will allow us a place to sit together, share our morning meeting and read stories together. The bean bag chairs will give them an opportunity to choose flexible seating and enjoy the carpet time a little bit more. I believe having a carpet that all of my students will fit on and have the ability to call their own will enhance their learning, comfortability in my room and ability to make personal connections. The dot markers are a way for my students to do independent work in a more fun and engaging way. The laminator is important to be because it will help me be able to conserve and share their work with parents, other students and faculty.
