Currently, my classroom has chairs and tables, but no flexible seating. Just like adults, these kids need to take breaks to walk around and socialize with each other. However, when they are in their seats, I often see them shifting, tapping their toes, and struggling to focus. Donations will help create flexible seating options that will benefit all my students, but especially the students I know are having a hard time sitting on regular chairs. It is hard enough for adults to sit at a desk for long periods of time, but worse for children. The wobble chairs will help my kids get some of their energy spent. They should also help the students focus on their learning and the ability to continue to learn social emotional skills in my office. These ball chairs will be a fantastic accommodation for my kids when doing groups and individual meetings.
