My goal is to expand my STEM classroom library to be able to incorporate more picture books into STEM challenges. Teaching all of kindergarten through fifth requires books for various ability levels. My goal with these picture books is to have different books that represent many races and cultures. Our rural town is not super diverse, but I want every single student to be able to see themselves in the characters and identify with the books. I want my students to know that there is a place for them in STEM and in our community.
