Hello! Morning Tubs offer a play based opportunity for my students to create, communicate, explore and and problem solve. It is a great non-threatening, fun way to start the day! Morning tubs encourage collaboration and get students excited for the day! My students will be using literacy and math based games and manipulatives. They will also have the opportunity to choose materials for designing, building and creating. All of these activities will help encourage social and emotional play as well as academics and fine motor skills. My choices for materials are based on developmental needs for first graders. After 18 years of teaching littles, I know that making the morning more than paper and pencil morning work would be such a wonderful reality for them! Thank You for helping them start the day with play!
