This is my first year having my own special education classroom in a school setting! I have worked with students with severe disabilities since I was in elementary school, and I am so excited to have my own classroom! The materials I am asking for will help my kindergarteners and first graders excel in a welcoming and comfortable environment! Working with kids with disabilities is my greatest passion and brings me SO much joy. I am asking for pretend play toys because I believe in meeting the child where they are at developmentally and learning through play. I am also asking for art supplies because I love having my students explore their sensory needs through art! Finally and most importantly my classroom is a very large open space, and I am asking for donations for a rug for circle time! As well as a rug to define a quiet/calm space where students can take a break and read a book!
