Being a special education service provider means having students from end to end on the spectrum of abilities. Students who are nonverbal and struggling to communicate at school need other modes to assist their language. The iPad will serve as their alternative communication. This can enable students to get their needs and wants met, share their ideas, and participate with peers. The second item, the color printer, is crucial for creating meaningful materials for special education students. Visually impaired students require high-contrast colored materials. Younger students are more engaged and excited about materials printed in color compared to black/white. These tech additions would greatly benefit my students in and out of the classroom.
