Having a comfortable place to sit not only gets my students excited about reading but also helps them feel more comfortable to help them focus. My middle schoolers are already struggling readers and having a place to read where they feel most at home will allow them to really make the most of their learning. After the year we had last year making my classroom feel like home is so important to help then feel accepted and comfortable to learn. A special place to sit during our reading time will make reading more fun!
