More than half of my students are struggling readers. Therefore, having a classroom library filled with books that they enjoy will definitely promote and increase reading stamina. Also, have a designated/comfortable area to read within the classroom will encourage reading during downtime. It has been said that if you want to keep something hidden; just put it in a book and I don't want that for my students! The best way to increase reading stamina and reading comprehension is with more reading! Each class will read the book of choice for at least 20 minutes three days and week and then have peer lead discussions with predictions on Fridays! Please help me help them!
