Having a carpet in the classroom makes a welcoming and warm environment for the students. It will be used daily for morning meeting, number corner, whole group instruction, read aloud time, and so much more! The carpet I chose is a tree with earth tones. This incorporates into the theme of my class. Having warm earth tones will make the classroom environment calm and relatable for the students. Carpet time is essential for creating a community among the students which will create and enhance vital and lasting relationships and friendships.
