These materials will allow all three classes of Biology at my school to experience a high tech relevant lab creating a DNA fingerprint to solve a simulated "Who-dun-it" forensics case. My budget for classroom supplies this year is only $100.00. Most funding for the last two years have gone to safety PPE and supplies due to Covid. Biology is an EOC Course in our state and Biotechnology is an important goal tested. It is impossible to teach this in an experiential fashion on our shoe-string budget. We all learn best when we actually perform the activity ourselves.
