The materials and supplies I am requesting for my students will provide a comfortable, engaging and practical environment where they can practice self-awareness and self-regulation of emotions and behaviors. The flexible seating options provided by the rug, floor cushion and plush bean bag allows the student to find a comfortable place to practice coping strategies of their choice. The small organizational shelving and book shelf will serve to house various items, such as sensory tools, books and other resources. All of the items requested in this project will help me create an adequate space where students can acquire and learn to apply the knowledge and skills to manage emotion, while also setting goals for oneself and responsible decision- to name a few.
