I work in a Title I school and my art students do not have the opportunity to use technology in art. The more art progresses and grows in the world the more technology is used to produce the art we see. Pencils, paper, and paints are slowly being replaced with iPads, drawing tablets, and apps. Don’t get me wrong I’m all for drawing in the traditional way, but the upcoming generation of artist need to understand the traditional ways and the modern ways to be competitive. I don’t want my art students to just draw but to design logos, create digital illustrations from stories, design their own t-shirts, and create new cartoon characters. Thank you for helping me bless my students with a classroom set of tablets and pens.
