Providing visual aids and native language supports are two methods that have greatly increased student comprehension, accessibility, and retention. By displaying classroom anchor charts and directions in English and Spanish my students will easily be able to transfer their knowledge from one language to another. My intention is to build a sense of community in the classroom. By displaying flags of different nations and a world map my learners will build connections between the topics we read about in class, the news reports they view on the television or online and the things they experience on a daily basis.

About my class
