I have chosen to make a building center in my classroom so my students can express their imagination and building skills through play. They are working on their motor skills along with collaborating as a team with their peers. In kindergarten, learning through play is very important and allowing their visions to come to life is a key element to education. I want to allow my students to build their city and we have an area in our room to where it wouldn't need to be taken down. We can build onto it every day. Every child will have the opportunity to add to our 'class city'. It would mean to world to us to support our classroom and to support me as a first year teacher as well. Allowing my students to learn through play is important and I am looking forward to seeing their ideas come to life.
