Before COVID-19, students couldn't afford school supplies. Now after COVID-19, with parents losing their jobs, it will be even harder for them to get school supplies for their kids. Providing them with school supplies will help give them the tools in order to have a successful school year. I have some students who live in shelters or in foster care and sometimes money is limited. It can be very taxing on the students' mental health if they are not prepared with supplies during the first week of school. I keep a cabinet with supplies for my students my whole time as an employee.
