Donations to this project will help my students begin to develop their number sense - working towards competency in not simply counting and number identification, but will also work begin helping them understand what numbers mean and how they interact with each other in the world. A strong understanding in number sense will help my students learn to compute mentally, think flexibly, and talk about math as a language. The manipulatives included in this project will help to not only engage students, but also provide them with a visual reference for numbers.

About my class
