These items will help my students have a variety of ways to continuously stay engaged. Flexible seating allows for more movement and can also help alleviate anxiety and stress. Creating a calm down corner, items will help students who may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed or frustrated. Providing items that help with regulation and take the focus on to something different will help them get back to learning quicker. Money is a big part of my math content and for my students having manipulatives and a chance to practice using the coins will add to the fun.
