The materials I am requesting will allow my classroom of growing learners to engage their minds in a variety of ways. Students will be given the opportunity to learn outside of their typical desk and chair. It is simply a large request to ask students to remain in the same seat all day, when even us adults cannot do that. The wobble stools will be placed at our large U table to give students a change of seat when engaging in small group learning. The cushions will be placed in the library for students to grab when they want to work on the floor. The wobble cushions will be placed in a basket for students to grab when they feel like they need an extra cushion at their seat or on the floor. Providing students with an opportunity to learn in a different place will expand their mind and keep them engaged in learning. I am thrilled to be a first year teacher and provide my students with the resources they need to be successful learners.
