After spending years observing the reasons that made it difficult for some 9th-grade students to succeed at our school, I designed the 9th-grade seminars with the help of other teachers at our school. We integrate organizational skills and also life skills. This is why financial literacy is a component of the seminars and I'd be grateful if you could send me a financial literacy kit. By reading the book, Hidden Figures, students will not only increase content knowledge but will also increase their literacy skills. This lesson will emphasize and celebrate Black female contributions to our society. Students will also learn about financial decision-making, budgeting, and the engineering design process. Thank you very much!
