Instant cameras are a great tool for learning the different techniques and perspectives of photography. You can't see your photo immediately and the instant printing makes every photo exciting. Students will use the instant cameras to experiment with shooting from different points of view, examining how different light and environments affect their photos, and gain a deeper appreciate of photography. Almost all of my students have experience with cameras on their phones or their laptops, but almost none of them have any experience with an actual camera. These instant cameras are a great way to expose my students to the actual techniques and skills that are learned by using a camera.
