If this project is fully funded, my students will have the opportunity to create a variety of art through literature experiences. For example, during our poetry unit, students will make origami creations as we read Fold Me a Poem by Cristine Goerge. When my scholars study literary devices, they will use crayons and more to draw point-of-view examples. Students will also use art supplies to illustrate scenes from short stories, novels, and personal narratives that we explore throughout the school year. Access to art supplies will provide my students with memorable opportunities that remain with them beyond the classroom.
