The books will be added to our class library to support students' literacy development, particularly in comprehension, and their growth into empathetic, informed members of our society. I chose a variety of books: silly and fun books, culturally responsive books, and books that highlight the LGBTQ+ experience. My project also includes school supplies that are not provided by the district or school, including whiteboard erasers. These will enrich my students' school experience and make learning more meaningful and fun, especially for 5- and 6-year-olds who are just beginning their learning journey.
