My classroom is part of a structured learning program. It is a special education classroom for students with a background in significant trauma. They are sweet and funny, but they also struggle with day-to-day activities that can feel overwhelming to them. They need more support and frequent breaks. The iPads gamify learning, which is something that my students are interested in. Our math curriculum has an app that is gamified. The students would enjoy completing their math tasks. Assessments can also be administered through an iPad, which seems to be less stressful than using a touchpad or mouse. Anything I can do to make everyday tasks more bearable, I want to do. Giving these students the option of using an iPad would do that.
