Working in a co-taught classroom means that the student needs vary. I am looking to update the classrooms furniture to include alternative seating arrangements, items that will meet students' sensory needs, and create multiple workspaces for interactive small group and tandem work. I hope to create multiple workspaces where students can feel comfortable working with me or a special education teacher. Having seating that allows students to stand, sit, wiggle, and move will benefit all. After eight years teaching special education I am now a GEN Ed teacher and looking to bring more materials to my new space to benefit the larger class size.
