Learning to spell is more difficult than learning to read as spelling requires more specific knowledge of the letters in words than reading does. Until students learn how to spell, their mental energy is devoted to getting words on the page when writing. As a result, composition length and quality are likely to suffer. Students will benefit from these spelling dictionaries in multiple ways: help with alphabetical order, word choice when writing, and spelling accuracy. Your support is greatly appreciated and will help my students excel as they learn to spell!
