My students are trying to keep up with the ever changing demands of the Common Core Curriculum and NGSS. We need to try and meet the latest advancements in science and technology in education, as we are currently working with start up materials. I work hard to make sure my students are getting the most exposure to real life experiences. I have noticed new skills and more attention from my students when they are in the STEAM lab. These materials will reach all types of learners from grades Pre-K through grade 3 giving them a multi-discipline approach that will allow them to express their creativity, critical thinking and problem solving skills. My students are more engaged in their education when they are designing and creating projects on their own. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional resources for hands-on/project based learning. The earth quake kits will allow the students to learn about engineering and redesign. The weather kits and tools are extremely beneficial for all students to learn about the weather and climate in our hometown. All the materials are kid friendly and can be easily accessed by all. I have seen how the STEAM lab can positively affect my students and the real life hands-on experiences they are receiving. I hope that the additional options will help us expand our minds even more!
