Each marking period my classes have a friendly competition for demonstrating qualities that support our English 1 Learning Community that all students collaboratively defined at the beginning of the year. Class achievements in academics, as well as positive behaviors, are recorded and posted. The "winning" class earns a special privilege and/or treat as a reward for doing their best. The snacks purchased will help motivate teens to master our English 1 benchmarks and to follow the Learning Community expectations such as respect, kindness, teamwork, trust, determination, knowledge, leadership, safety, and happiness.

About my class
