This project is centered around ensuring my students are able to have an education that equips them with the knowledge and skills necessary to make a more equitable and equal tomorrow. After learning that my district approved the novel for 9th grade English Language Arts, I could not wait to ensure my students get to read "The March" by the late John Lewis. For these reasons, I am hoping that you would partner with me as I continue to work to make these hopes a reality by obtaining and thereby making it possible for all of the 9th-grade students at my school to read this book, become empowered, and fight for a more socially just future as they become agents of change.
