All of my theatre students love to create and perform, whether it be through debate, through an original informative or persuasive speech, or interpretation of literature through characters. They have not had many opportunities to flex their performing muscles as a result of the pandemic and virtual trips to compete in speech and debate tournaments are the best thing they have at the moment as an outlet. By exposing students to this environment, they will hone their presenting skills, incorporate feedback from judges, and create connections with one another. They will learn to be better audience members while viewing others' performances and they will inspire those around them to take a risk in doing like they do in speech and debate.

About my class
