As a teacher, it has always been my goal to inspire a love of reading in my students. Many students who enter my classroom have a complicated relationship with reading. However, by finding just the right book, they begin to see that reading can be fun and exciting. "Everyone is a reader... Some just haven't found their favorite book yet." -- Anonymous Through this project, I hope to fill in some of the gaps in our library to put the right books in the hands of more students. This diverse collection of books will allow my students to see themselves in literature and develop empathy for those whose stories may differ from their own. The ink and labels included will be used to label the spine of each book with the genre. This will help students to identify what kind of books they might be interested in reading.
