These materials will allow for more hands-on and engaging opportunities for my kindergarten students. They will not only help to increase the students’ literacy and math skills, but will also help boost their socialization skills, as they will be working together with their peers. With more of a variety of literacy and math materials to offer to my students, it will also help promote choice in the classroom. Students will use these materials daily during center time and will have the opportunity to choose which skill they would like to work on.
