Multicultural texts will engage enable students to develop skills and strategies to improve their literacies. When a child is engage with interesting authentic texts they are capable of making up to two grade levels of growth in literacy. The texts will be used through read alouds, anchor text study and dramatic play. Our goal is to use these resources during in person learning. Adjustments will be made in case students go to the virtual learning platform using recording or digital texts. Students will also create written assignments about critical topics found in these texts.

About my class
