My students are very enthusiastic, active young learners. When they are gathered together for a whole group lesson or to listen to a story, they enjoy being part of the group but some find it very difficult to know where their own personal space boundaries are. The classroom rug I am requesting has a spot for every student in my class, and each student will know exactly which spot is theirs when they come to the front of the room for our learning time together. A colorful, inviting classroom rug is the centerpiece of every Kindergarten classroom. This classroom rug will increase my students learning time because once they know where they are supposed to sit, the class will be able to transition quickly to the carpet and be ready to learn in record time, which will maximize our learning time and engagement.
