COVID-19 affected my students during their kindergarten year, as well as the restrictions that were placed on their learning last year in first grade. Many of my students are having a hard time interacting appropriately with each other. On the playground we have way too many arguments, and in the classroom they do not know how to respond when situations arise. The books I have requested will give my students the ability to grow their SEL (social emotional learning) by giving them tools to use when interacting with others, as well as understanding their own feelings.
