These students do not have money to purchase books at home, and often do not have family available/willing to take them to a library, so we are always looking for great books for them to read here at school. The books I picked are about racial justice and diversity. Representation is so important at my school. We are a very small school with no real science lab, so that is why I have requested the science kits. Lastly, my students are often hungry and food motivated, which is why I have requested snacks and candy.
