All of these materials asked for will help bring our garden alive. We are currently working with an empty dirt lot which could have a lot of potential. Building our garden together at school will help provide a sense of ownership for our students. We want our kids to have a feeling of pride when they look at their campus and know they too had a part in beautifying the space. Understanding where some of their food comes from and how it is grown will help our students appreciate the patience of something good. Our goal for the school garden is to incorporate fun learning lessons for all of our students such as; Health and Wellness, Nutritional Education, Life Science and community building. Building sustainable sources of food can impact our community and can be beneficial for our students. By providing these hands on opportunities with our students, they too will be able to take home what they have learned and share with their families.
