All students have unique learning styles and students with autism are no exception. What I have found is that movement and a variety of activities and materials are key components to any lesson for my boys. I use as much traditional teaching practices and activities that the general education classroom teachers use, however having a variety of activities to support the concepts that are in game form helps students practice and transfer skills to real life learning. If they can't learn the way we teach, we teach the way they learn. In my cart I have a variety of items that will support reading, writing and math with fun hands on games and activities.
