These wobble seats are like fidget toys but for the entire body. As you can imagine, it is difficult to keep students' undivided attention in a math classroom. And I teach state tested classes! These seats allow antsy students to move while staying seated, thus being less disruptive to the class. Students at my school sit through four 90-minute classes per day. I have many students who like to walk around during class, which can wreak havoc at times. These wobble seats will allow the students some non-disruptive movement during that time.
