The third grade class that has moved up to our school is a larger class and therefore, we needed to add an extra section of third grade. With some of the other movement of classrooms in the school, it left mine and my students' room basically empty with only tables, chairs, and a filing cabinet. I have borrowed from other classrooms, bought secondhand, and a few requisitions to try and fill my classroom. My school has done great things for me, but our budget has just barely been met. Third grade is a big year for using money and this is relatable in many other areas of math. The dry erase boards allow for students to have an efficient way to store their materials. They are also efficient for me to print one copy of a paper for the whole class and get to use it year after year, because of the place to insert a page where they can write and wipe away.
