Learning job skills is such an imperative part of life. When life is challenging for some, learning basic skills such as food handling, managing money, doing inventory and other skills will set my students up for their future. Starting in junior high, I believe that the coffee bistro will teach them the necessary skills to be productive members of society after they graduate high school. We have devised a plan to help our students become successful. Students will learn how to count money, provide a service to others that empower them as an individual as well as provide a great pick me up for teaching staff in the mornings and afternoons. Students will learn how to inventory their stock, learn profits and losses, discover what the consumer desires and fulfill those needs, giving them the opportunity to grow confidence in a job skill that will set a precedence to future employment.
