Welcome to our school! Looking around you will see a diverse group of students with diverse needs. As a Title 1 school, most of our families are unable to supply students with everything they need and then some. While most of our kids bring their glue, folders and crayons... headphones are almost always forgotten. Our students are fortunate to have access to Chromebooks at school but many do not have personal headphones or earbuds to use at school. Due to COVID, using shared materials, especially headphones, are just not safe for our students. There is a possibility we may have students learning from home this year and having headphones and a Chromebook will ensure time spent at learning from home will be meaningful.
Many of our students use their Chromebooks to use apps to improve their English speaking and understanding skills. Other use apps to close gaps in their education to bring them to where they should typically be in reading, math, writing and science areas. Our kids deserve every opportunity and providing them with this small but mighty tool will help them excel this year.
