My project is to benefit the sensory needs of my students. Since a majority of my students are on the Autism Spectrum there are a wide variety of sensory needs that my students need throughout the day to be successful during their school day. I wanted to get sensory items that can benefit them in the classroom so that they don't have to leave the classroom for sensory relief. Many students in my class have written in the IEP that they need access to sensory items throughout the day to help them be successful in their class. Students will be able to take breaks throughout their day when needed to help with their sensory needs. These breaks will help the students be able to focus and having these sensory items will help them be able to pay attention in school more than if they didn't have them.
