These tubano and other drums, maracas, shakers, and other instruments will give students the opportunity to create and experience music in a group setting. My school had been without a music teacher for several years, and is lacking an inventory of instruments suitable for a current elementary music classroom. I am beginning my first full year at this school (I started in January 2021) and am looking forward to bringing meaningful musical experiences to my students. Making music together is a great way to build a sense of community and goodwill in the classroom. A variety of percussion instruments enables students to learn about different cultures, music history, and the science of sound.

About my class
