The Vibration and Waves Kit will help me visually teach how sound waves work. My students will use the sine wave signal generator and vibration generator to make different frequencies which will then vibrate into different nodal patterns on the Chladni plate with sand. We will learn about transverse, longitudinal, and standing waves and look at them on a graph and compare our different frequencies visually, mathematically, and musically. This kit will help us illustrate 2-D waves from low to high frequencies. We can then apply these lessons to how music effects our bodies and the world around us.

About my class
