Our fourth graders love to move around the classroom and collaborate with others, but we lack the right seating. Traditional classroom chairs fall short of our needs--they are clumsy, hard to move around, and plain-old-fashioned uncomfortable. "A moving child is a learning child" Gill Connell. Wobble seats and wiggle cushions keep children in motion while their brains are moving! This project will provide my students with easy to comfortable cushions and stools that they can rearrange to meet in collaborative workgroups. They will also be able to get work in the individual nooks set up around the classroom. Cushions and wobble seats allow my students to keep moving--and to stay focused--on all of their learning.
